No, each child has one designated sponsor.

You select the amount of time you wish to sponsor, but we greatly encourage each sponsorship to last until the child finishes his/her formal education.

Who decides which children and families are served?

Our staff in Da Nang visit each family personally and determine their needs. Most families are referred to us by churches, government, and other organizations.

Is there any accountability for the recipient families?

Yes, they are monitored regularly - most on a monthly basis - for their general health and well-being. Any children receiving sponsorships or scholarships must make a reasonable effort to attend and achieve in school. Families who are able to rise out of poverty are removed from the program to make room for the more needy. Children who do not make a reasonable effort to attend and perform well in school, lose their scholarships.

May I have contact with a sponsored child?

Yes! We strongly encourage correspondence with sponsored children. You may email your letters to us, and we will translate and deliver, and vice versa.

What holidays are celebrated in Viet Nam?

The annual Tet celebration and the Mid-Autumn Festival are the big ones. Many also celebrate Christmas.

What methods of correspondence does L.O.V.E. employ?

L.O.V.E. attempts to use email for all correspondence, including donation receipts, our monthly newsletters, and correspondence with our children. This saves us a great deal of funds that can be better applied elsewhere. Please contact us to request other methods of communication/correspondence.

Can I send gifts for the children?

Yes. However, shipping/postage and customs to Viet Nam is high, and it is generally more cost effective to send us the money to purchase gifts locally. You may choose what you'd like us to purchase, or let us choose based on our knowledge of the recipient. You will receive photos of your gift(s) and the child/ren receiving it.

May I share my Christian faith with a sponsored child?

Absolutely...we encourage it.

Can I visit L.O.V.E. in Viet Nam, including my sponsored child?

Yes, we love visitors! Email us for more information and assistance in planning your trip.
