In Vietnam, since the new Covid19 outbreak (from April 27), there have been more than 700 infections. The number of infections increases every day. Da Nang is one of the two places with the highest number of infections in the community (more than 100 cases - the other is the capital, Hanoi ).

All restaurants, coffee shops, cinemas, & entertainment centers are closed. The government asked people not to gather more than 5 people in public places. Going to the market also ensures the distance and must have a ticket. The ticket is to make sure that people will take turns to go to the market.

Many people continue to lose their jobs. Especially those who work in restaurants, coffee shop, amusement parks, tourist places…

All schools in Da Nang closed until further notice, even though year-end exams are taking place. Studying and exams were disrupted quite a lot.

The situation in the coming days may be more complicated even though the Ministry of Health announced that the epidemic situation is basically under control.

Up to now, LOVE office has not been closed and the sponsorship distribution in April and May is still taking place normally, but in June, moving to meeting places will be not sure. It depends on the situation here. Please remember us, as everyone else in the world facing Covid in your prayers.

VISITING

In every summer when the school-year ends, LOVE’s staff will be extremely busy with report cards, textbooks, uniforms and reports. So April and May are the suitable months for us to visit new applications and children’s family for updating for sponsorship program. Over 20 applications were sent to us via the introduction of the local wards and districts. We had visited all of them and chose some for doing new profiles.
