BLESSED IN THE FLOODS
Over
the last few weeks, Central Vietnam has struggled with
storms and floods and landslides which caused serious
damage and killed many people. The storm and flood
damages are also exacerbating the livelihoods of many
Vietnamese people who have been already suffering from
the financial effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. Despite
these harsh conditions, we thank God because the monthly
meetings were still going on; the children and their
families have been still feeling the warmth of the
sponsors’ love and care through letters, sponsorships
and extra supports.
We
are happy to see our sponsored children and find they
are all safe!

Thank God and thank you the sponsors from
G4kids and
LOVE for giving us
opportunity to give 13 bicycles to the sponsored
children and to see the happy smiles on their faces
knowing that the way to school now seems to shorten with
these new bikes.

LOVE
came in time and gave some
food supports to some elders and families isolated in
the flood. These are unforgettable experiences for us to
see houses surrounded by water, fields of crops now in
only one color - the color of flood mixed with tears.

Just
before the typhoon No. 9 Goni was about to sweep the
land, Tuy Loan Church building in Da Nang had been
borrowed by the government as a residence for the poor
in houses at risk of collapse or roof removal.
LOVE
was
happy to help provide food and water for them. The
pastor and local people thanked
LOVE for this timely
help. Thank God for the opportunity to show love to the
community.

STORMS CAME AND WENT,
WHAT REMAINS??
‘Central Vietnam Hit by
Typhoon’, ‘Ruined after Storms and Floods’, ‘Buried by
the Landslide’... phrases that are all too familiar to
Vietnamese people these days. The storms and floods came
and went, but the consequences left for the people here
were extremely heavy, the pain and loss are still there.
How to overcome and stabilize after the floods is a too
difficult problem for people in the Central region...

…last
month, LOVE
visited and surveyed kindergartens in Quang Tri after
receiving a call to help from the Church, the area that
was hit too hard after consecutive floods, storms and
landslides. These kindergartens have total about 600
children and are located deep on the mountain in Quang
Tri.
Beside the devastating scenes left by natural disasters,
which caught our eyes are skinny bodies, bare feet, and
tiny hands that rub together to create a little warmth
in cold weather. Our heart was deeply touched when
seeing this.
We
have surveyed and found they need slippers, warm clothes
and floor mats for studying time. We wish we can
visit there again this December and bring the warmth of
the Christmas season’s love to 600 children with a pair
of slippers in our yearly Humanitarian mission trip.
With
those wishes, we look forward to your partnership with
your prayers, financial contributions. “Giving a hand”
will truly be very helpful and appreciated in this
difficult time!

Sponsors Needed
Right now, there is a needy child living in poverty who
is waiting for a caring person like you. We have many
children who need sponsors.
To see these children or to fill out an application go
to our web site by clicking
child.
Without your help, many of these will not finish school.
For just $30 a month you can see that the child you
choose will break the cycle of poverty by getting a good
education, better food, clothing, and shelter. For more
information about these children or an application form,
you can also contact
Reggie.
Please pray that we can
find sponsors for all our children and put your prayers
to work by sharing the need with your church, Sunday
School Class, civic club, etc.
PLEASE HELP!
Share your love
and faith
These children urgently need sponsors who will support a
child for $30 a month or the whole family for $50 a
month, and will pray for them, write and encourage them.

About Me: My
father passed away years ago. Since then, my
mother has to work hard to pay debt which my
father borrowed to buy building materials to
serve his work. At the same time, she
herself also feeds my brother and me without
material help from her relatives. As for me,
I always make efforts to study well and get
the title of good student. It is the first
year that I have been in high school; the
curriculum is much more difficult than one
in secondary school. So I desire to get a
chance to go to extra classes in order to
consolidate my knowledge and to keep my
study well. My brother is in school too and
in grade 2 now. Therefore, my mother has to
try to cover both our daily basic needs and
school fees. I long for a helping hand so
that I will have a brighter future.
