THE BEAUTY OF
CHRISTMAS
Christmas is the most beautiful season of the year. It is not
beautiful because of the splendid decorations in the shopping mall, or
the shimmering lights all over the streets. It is beautiful because it
is a symbol of love expressed by the act of giving. “For God so loved
the world that he gave...”
There are times when we wish for a very cold Christmas to get a chance
to wear nice newly bought warm clothes to hang out for Christmas.
Perhaps we have forgotten that there are the poor out there that are
shivering by the cold, just hope a shirt is warm enough, just hope it
won’t be colder. The true spirit of Christmas is a reflection of the
love and selflessness. It is about giving without a thought of getting.
It is happiness because we see joy in people.
It
is not the coldness of the weather but the coldness of the human heart
that killed “The Little Match Girl”. Hopefully, during this Christmas
season, many people will come to know about God’s love, and welcome God
into their hearts through our acts of love and sharing. We can give
those matches, but God can bring them warmth. And who knows, in a very
cold dark night of their lives, God truly came into their hearts.
Our hope and prayer are that we may not
get
so caught up in the pressures of the season that we place our emphasis
on the wrong things and miss the true meaning of Christmas - loving and
giving. Christmas is not about opening our presents but opening our
hearts.

“GIVING LOVE
FOR
A WARM WINTER”

Every year, the central Vietnam suffers dozens of storms, big
and small, accompanied by floods in many places. And this year is no
exception. Such extreme weather conditions cause many difficulties for
the people here. With that in mind,
L.O.V.E
and
G4kids worked together to continue to implement this
rainy season support program for all families in our sponsorship program
by offering family gifts including rice, instant noodles, cooking oil,
milk and more.
Due to the erratic weather in Danang, this year we continued to
hold this activity at an indoor stadium. We have given nearly 300
baskets to families. Everything went very well and everyone has arrived.
We thank God for the great weather that day, no rain and no strong wind.
It was a beautiful Friday, the 13th . You can see it in the
following photos:

With the
enthusiastic help from the student volunteers in LOVE’s Student House

the
preparation was done quickly. Thank you very much!

The program went well and ended well.
Everyone left safely with bright smiles on their lips!

Also this month,
L.O.V.E teamed up with some church brothers to visit and give out
200
food support
gifts to the poor
ethnic minorities in upland areas in Quang Ngai and Dong Giang, Quang
Nam, where they suffered heavy losses after a storm.

Although the roads are still difficult, we still try everything for
everyone. Thank God and thank you the sponsors who have also accompanied
us in prayers and financial participation. You are truly a blessing for
the people here.

Sponsors Needed
Right now, there is a needy child living in poverty who is
waiting for a caring person like you. We have many children who need
sponsors.
To see these children or to fill out an application go to our
web site by clicking
child.
Without your help, many of these will not finish school. For just $30 a
month you can see that the child you choose will break the cycle of
poverty by getting a good education, better food, clothing, and shelter.
For more information about these children or an application form, you
can also contact
Reggie.
Please
pray that we can find sponsors for all our children and put your prayers
to work by sharing the need with your church, Sunday School Class, civic
club, etc.
PLEASE HELP!
Share your love and faith
These children urgently need sponsors who
will support a child for $30 a month or the whole family for $50 a
month, and will pray for them, write and encourage them.

About Me:
My father works as a welder and recent years his job has
not been going well, so his income is truly low and
unstable. My mother tries her best to collect scrap while
taking care of my little sister in order to feed us in part.
Yet, my family situation is not much improved. Now my family
and I are living with grandmother in her house. I have 3
siblings. My older brother is looking for a job skill course
to take. My younger brother is in kindergarten and my sister
is still small. Although they both don’t go to school yet,
my parents have to pay for their nutrition much. As for me,
I am in grade 9. I wish to have a chance to take extra
classes to complete my studies of this final year at
secondary school successfully. It is difficult for my
parents to cover our basic daily costs and our study fees. I
do hope to receive your help to have a better study
condition so that I will have a brighter future.
