HEARING AID DONATION On April 6, 2018, LOVE, in cooperation with GoodMorning company, happily organized a hearing aid donation event for the poor elderly and children who are suffering hearing loss. GoodMorning is a local brand of Starkey hearing aid Company (US) in Korea. Here, 10 poor people were given the free tinnitus test to decide how severe their hearing loss is. After undergoing several steps of tests with the audiologists, or hearing professionals, if qualified, they had installed a specific hearing aid with full instructions of how to use, adjust and maintain it carefully. Each costs from $200 to $400. Nine among 10 people were blessed on that day, which made them and their families happy as they would have never ever imagined they could hear well again like now. Many people experience hearing loss severe enough to hinder communication in Vietnam. We hope to be able to do more such medical programs in the future. |

BIRGIT AND THE OTHER SPONSORS VISIT In April 2018, we were happy to welcome Mrs. Birgit (President of our European Project Partner - G4Kids), her husband and 4 other donors from Germany in our new office location. We are grateful for many unforgettable moments together. Now let’s hear, what they have to say: |

| Mrs. Birgit: “Besides meeting all G4Kids-sponsored children, talking about their progresses, their situations and special needs, I enjoyed working with LOVE-staffs. It is not easy to take care for so many children who live in extremely difficult circumstances. What makes it more difficult is having to deal with our demands and our donor’s expectations. Our donors - who are normally the children’s patrons - expect that all their money is used only for their children’s needs and welfare. But, this work can only be performed well, when working conditions are sufficient. That’s why my husband and I had the new office equipped with practical desks. I was especially glad to see that also the “4 holidaying patrons” helped generously to equip a “waiting and talking area” where visitors can sit conveniently. The leftover will help with the office rent – which is another concern. Prices are continuously rising in Vietnam – so each added amount for maintenance, no matter how small, is highly appreciated. As always it was our great pleasure to meet with our personally sponsored children and to witness the other children’s and patron’s happiness. They got easily acquainted to each other and created lots of memorable events. Thanks to LOVE’s staff, we had a dinner in Da Nang together, visited Asia Park and arranged the bye-bye-evening in Hoi An.” |
|

| Mr. Günter: “My last visit to Da Nang lies 7 years back. – I’m greatly astonished at how Da Nang is developing into a modern city with good job chances. The most important thing is to finish school and learn a trade or profession. Children know that and study eagerly – be it in kindergarten, elementary, secondary or high school. At college or even university. Our contributions make that possible - it’s always been my pleasure to support that cause.” |
