In addition to giving scholarships, we also visited some
cases of difficulty, disabled parents or orphans… The future
of these children is very uncertain and they may not be able
to get out of the circle of poverty and low level of
education, so they are in dire need of help.

FLY WITH LOVE
|
Summer is a time for students to relax after hard school
days. This is also the time for L.O.V.E to say
goodbye to students who have finished their sponsorships
because they have completed their studies. Some students
graduate from college and university. Others finish
vocational courses or high school.
|
|
In mid-July, we organized the
FLY WITH
LOVE
program as in previous years. Through team
games, group discussions, quizzes, etc., L.O.V.E and
the students recollect on the time of receiving sponsorships
with deep gratitude to the sponsors, along with their
maturity, the development of loving bonds between students
and sponsors.

GRADUATES
|
L.O.V.E
is also pleased to announce to our sponsors the good news
about the successful graduation ceremony of students this
summer. Some students shared with us their real surprise and
pride because they did not think that they could complete
college/university studies one day - a dream that they
previously thought was difficult to achieve due to the
obstacle of high tuition fees.

SOLAR LIGHTS TO REMOTE MOUNTAIN AREAS
|
In August,
HOPE Fund donated 13 solar lights to 13
families, who live in Kontum, deep in the mountains on the
Laos border. It is a very remote area, taking hours by
motorbike to reach. These poor families are living in a lack
of basic living conditions such as electricity, water, food…
And their children are receiving a very poor education
condition, lacking school supplies and facilities.
|
|
There was a lot of rain along the way which made the journey very challenging due to road
conditions.
|
|
|
|
|
The solar lighting will provide the families lighting at
night, being charged during the day. These families live
more conveniently, the children can prepare their lessons in
the evening before going to school the next morning. Thank
you very much to the benefactors!

SCHOOL GIFTS FOR POOR ELEMENTARY STUDENTS
|
On the eve of the new school year, in response to the call
of the Women's Union, L.O.V.E organized a Gifts
Giving & Support Program for disadvantaged students in Hoa
Bac commune - a suburb in Da Nang. Accompanying us is the
technology company Synopsys as a sponsor.
|
|
The program consists of two parts. The first part is kids
games, and the second part is giving gifts. Elementary
school students participate in four different fun games
under the guidance of volunteers who are Synopsys' staff.
When completing each game successfully, the children will
receive stickers, and then use the stickers to exchange for
the desired rewards.

|
150 gifts were given out. Each gift included school items
(bag, water bottle, raincoat, hat, school supplies),
rice, milk and desk lamps.

|
|
|
We are very grateful to the authorities and the Women's
Union in Hoa Bac commune for their agreement to make the
program successful. We would like to thank the generous
sponsor - Synopsys company - for helping to light up dreams
and spread joy to many disadvantaged children.

Christmas is the
most beautiful season of the year. It is not beautiful
because of the splendid decorations in the shopping mall, or
the shimmering lights all over the streets. It is beautiful
because it is a symbol of love expressed by the act of
giving. “For God so loved the world that he gave...”
There are times
when we wish for a very cold Christmas to get a chance to
wear nice newly bought warm clothes to hang out for
Christmas. Perhaps we have forgotten that there are the poor
out there that are shivering by the cold, just hope a shirt
is warm enough, just hope it won’t be colder. The true
spirit of Christmas is a reflection of the love and
selflessness. It is about giving without a thought of
getting. It is happiness because we see joy in people.
It is not the
coldness of the weather but the coldness of the human heart
that killed “The Little Match Girl”. Hopefully, during this
Christmas season, many people will come to know about God’s
love, and welcome God into their hearts through our acts of
love and sharing. We can give those matches, but God can
bring them warmth. And who knows, in a very cold dark night
of their lives, God truly came into their hearts.
|
Our hope and prayer are that we may not
get so caught up in the pressures of the season that we place our
emphasis on the wrong things and miss the true meaning of
Christmas - loving and giving. Christmas is not about
opening our presents but opening our hearts

SPONSORS NEEDED
Right now, there is a needy child living in poverty who is
waiting for a caring person like you. We have many children who need
sponsors.
To see these children or to fill out an application go to our
web site by clicking
child.
Without your help, many of these will not finish school. For
just $30 or $50 a month you can see that the child you
choose will break the cycle of poverty by getting a good
education, better food, clothing, and shelter. For more
information about these children or an application form, you
can also contact
us.
PLEASE HELP!
Share your love and
faith!
This child urgently
needs a sponsor who will support her for $30 a month or the whole family
for $50 a month, and will pray for her, write and encourage
her.

MY FAMILY:
My family consists of my
parents, four siblings and me. I am the second child. We are
currently living in a rented house made from corrugated
iron. Therefore, the house is very hot in the summer and
leaks during the rainy season, directly affecting our
studies. My father works as a parking lot attendant with a
low income. My mother, on the other hand, sells drinks on
the sidewalk, which also brings her a precarious and low
income. Consequently, our parents cannot send my two
youngest siblings to kindergarten, so my eldest sister and I
take turns to look after them after school. My family is
facing many difficulties and I love my parents very much
when I see they work very hard to raise us.
MY STUDY:
My two siblings and I are of
school age. We are going to school in poor conditions and
without adequate school supplies because my parents cannot
afford it. I am myself an active girl at school and I like
many sports activities. With my current circumstance, I may
leave school early at any time and I really do not want it
to happen. I do hope that you might extend a helping hand to
our family so that I can keep my study and have a better
future.
