Love Of Vietnam Expressed

by
 Helping the Poor & Needy

1 John 3:16-18 NKJV: By this, we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

Extending Prolonged School Break…..

From 13h30 on 8th March to 8h00 on 9th March 2020, Danang reported a total of 198 NEGATIVE tests for COVID-19 and confirmed 2 POSITIVE cases of Covid-19 who both are British tourists and 24 cases under surveillance of Covid-19 including 18 Vietnamese, 01 Thai, 01 Romanian, 01 South Korean (according to the report of the Danang City Health Department: https://soyte.danang.gov.vn/chi-tiet-tin-tuc?dinhdanh=51001&cat=0)

….and the above number may increase rapidly in the future. Facing the severity of this epidemic, all schools in Danang plan to extend school break by some weeks which will depend on the situation of the COVID-19 to protect students and to limit the cases of infection. Therefore in next weeks, all sponsored children will continue to be off! Schools will send homework and materials to their students so they can study at home.

We would like to thank the Lord for keeping all the L.O.V.E staff and all the sponsored children healthy and peaceful!

But we still need more prayers….

Currently, according to the information from Danang City Health Department , there are 1,065 cases in concentrated isolation areas at Danang .

To protect themselves, many people avoid crowds in their daily activities. Shopping has been affected, spending on eating and drinking out and other activities outside the home have been cut. These help to protect people's health but it is also a double-edged sword, the difficult situation for poor sponsored children's families in our program when their parents are unskilled workers and they cannot get any job to earn money in this epidemic situation. Most of these people are either bricklayers, building assistants, vendors on streets and in markets, or bottle collectors or home cleaners, or helpers, teachers in private nursery classes. They all have to stop their work during this epidemic season while daily expenses are higher for household cleaning and personal hygiene products as well as healthy foods like fruits and fruits juices that increase immunity.

In fact, for the poor now, just having the basic food to survive in the epidemic season is the most precious thing.

A big thanks to Sponsors for never forgetting to send extra blessings!

“The one who is gracious to the poor lends to the LORD, and the LORD will repay him for his good deed,”

Proverbs 19:17

Many college students receive extra cash as college fee, which helps lessen their family’s big burden in a new semester. Due to the spread of virus Covid-19 and schools are suspended, many students decided to return to their hometown for safety but there are some students staying to take part time jobs. They all do expect to return to schools soon and pray for the end of the virus.

WE NEED YOU......PLEASE HELP!

In February 2020, L.O.V.E’s staff visited and found many needy children living in poverty who are waiting for a caring person like you. Here are some of them:

To see more clearly information about these children or to fill out an application go to our web site by clicking here. Without your help, many of these will not finish school. For just $30 or better $50 a month you can see that the child you choose will break the cycle of poverty by getting a good education, better food, clothing, and shelter. For more information about these children or an application form, you can also contact Reggie or L.O.V.E

Share your love and faith

We have many children who need sponsors who will support a child for $30 a month or the whole family for $50 a month, and will pray for them, write and encourage them.

Please pray that we can find sponsors for all our children and put your prayers to work by sharing the need with your church, Sunday School Class, civic club, etc.

Isaiah 58: 10-12

..and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry

and satisfy the needs of the oppressed,

then your light will rise in the darkness,

and your night will become like the noonday.

The Lord will guide you always;

he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land

    and will strengthen your frame.

You will be like a well-watered garden,

like a spring whose waters never fail.

(Luke 14:13-14 NIV)  But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous."

(Prov 31:8-9 NIV)  "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy."
