Love
Of
Vietnam
Expressed
By
Helping the poor and needy
www.loveofvn.org |
(1 John 3:16-18 NKJV): By this, we know love, because
He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down
our lives for the brethren. But whoever has
this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts
up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide
in him? My little children let us not love in
word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. |

On January 31,
some of LOVE’s
staff will be in Quang Ngai Province with a
medical team from Danang Churches. We will
report on this next month. |
Feburary 19-20
is Tet (Lunar New Year) in Vietnam. LOVE
offices will be closed from February 16 – 25
as this is a state holiday. Millions of
Vietnamese will travel to visit families,
including thousands flying from the USA and
many other countries around the world to
Vietnam. Pray for safety for all and
especially for Christians to carry God’s
message of love and salvation. |
Sponsors Visit
Mrs. Angelika and her husband had 2
afternoons with their sponsored children and
LOVE’s
staff. On the first afternoon, time for
getting to know each other, the couple spent
some hours with children at
LOVE’s
office, talking and playing games with them.
The second day was really a fantastic one
when they and the children had a tour around
Da Nang. The trip started from the office,
then they were taken to the children’s
school, then visited the Museum of Cham
Sculpture. Lunch was at the “Banh Xeo” – a
Vietnamese fried pancake restaurant.
Afterwards, they had lots of fun playing
games, shopping in the Big C mall, going for
a stroll and taking some snaps at Dragon
Bridge, then having a tour on the Sun Wheel.
The awesome day
out
ended nicely at the cozy pizzeria, where the
couple could enjoy the last happy time with
children and saying goodbye to them. The
sponsors were so kind and everybody had
wonderful memorable moments. |

Sponsors Needed
Right
now, there is a needy child living in
poverty who is waiting for a caring person
like you. We have many children who need
sponsors.
To see these children or to fill out an
application go to our web site by clicking
child.
Without your help, many of these will not
finish school. For just $30 a month you can
see that the child you choose will break the
cycle of poverty by getting a good
education, better food, clothing, and
shelter. For more information about these
children or an application form, you can
also contact
Reggie,
who lives in Danang.
Please pray that we can find sponsors for
all our children and put your prayers to
work by sharing the need with your church,
Sunday School Class, civic club, etc.
PLEASE HELP
Share your love and faith
These children urgently need sponsors who
will support a child for $30 a month or the
whole family for $50 a month, and will pray
for them, write and encourage them. |

About me:
My father has had sinusitis and
a bad liver for years and this
prevent him from going out to
work and become the real
breadwinner of the family but
luckily he can do what his
health allows him to do with the
family’s farming work. My mother
instead is the main one to earn
the income and try to keep four
of us in school but the
arthritis also is a real trouble
for her. We recently rebuilt our
house since we live quite close
to the river and the flood
season keep coming annually but
most of the money we borrow from
our relative. I have started my
1st year in college
in Da Nang city and this is
truly another big costly bill
for my mother too plus 3 of my
siblings are staying and
learning at my hometown. It is
has overloaded for my mother so
I do look forward to receive
some helps.

(Luke 14:13-14 NIV) But when you
give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the
lame, the blind, {14}
and you will be blessed. Although
they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the
resurrection of the righteous." |
(Luke 19:8-9 NIV) But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the
Lord, "Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my
possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated
anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the
amount." {9} Jesus said to him,
"Today salvation has come to this
house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. |
(Psa
41:1-3 NKJV) Blessed is he who considers the
poor; The LORD will deliver him in time of
trouble. The LORD will preserve him and keep him
alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You
will not deliver him to the will of his enemies.
The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of
illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed. |
God bless you
for your prayers and financial support for the children! |
