Love Of Vietnam Expressed

Helping the poor and needy

(1 John 3:16-18 NKJV): By this, we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

April 2014

Director’s note:

On Thursday, March 20, we were honored by Man Thai ward for helping the poor families. Below are some pictures.

March has been a good month. We have 5 interns (college students) in our office, 4 of them for 2 months.

Next month, we will begin making plans for the summer: receiving report cards, giving out books, uniforms, etc.

Here I give certificates to the children we help in the ward.

L.O.V.E receives flowers and a certificate for our work in the ward.

Unexpected visitors

On the 19th we were so blessed by a visit from Tran and her sister Chau. Tran and Chau were the ones in a terrible accident two years ago. Tran was the most severely hurt of the two, with a broken hip and damaged internal organs. Chau will graduate from college this summer and Tran will take her brother, in junior high school, and go to the High Lands where she worked before and her boy- friend and his family lives.

They came to thank us and all of you who have helped them and prayed for them over the years.

Prayer and thanks to God

Tran still has a steel plate in her leg and some loss of feeling in her left foot.

Some extra gifts from sponsors

Sponsors express their love and interest with birthday gifts, money for extra classes, food, other needs; or by their letters, cards and pictures.

Medical Mission

Love sent some staff and funds to help in another medical mission. This is the first one we have helped with this year as our funds are not as plentiful as last year when we helped in all of the missions.

The patients are registered

Blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and questioning.

The young come

The old

And others come

After being examined, each patient is given prescribed medicine and a gift.

Sponsors Needed

Right now, there is a needy child living in poverty who is waiting for a caring person like you. We have many children who need sponsors.

To see these children or to fill out an application go to our web site by clicking child. Without your help, many of these will not finish school. For just $30 a month you can see that the child you choose will break the cycle of poverty by getting a good education, better food, clothing, and shelter. For more information about these children or an application form, you can also contact Reggie, who lives in Danang.

Please pray that we can find sponsors for all our children and put your prayers to work by sharing the need with your church, Sunday School Class, civic club, etc.

Share your love and faith

These children urgently need sponsors who will support a child for $30 a month or the whole family for $50 a month, and will pray for them, write and encourage them.

Please Sponsor me!

Hieu has been hoping for a sponsor for over a year.

About me:  My parents have mental problem. Every day they collect recycle materials to earn the income for the family. Besides, my grandmother who is always sick and has mental problem, is living with our family. Our family receives some support from local committee as our family is not able to afford ourselves. I hope you’ll help me get a good education. My family is unable to help me with school work and I need to take extra classes. Thanks you!

LOVE’s note:  Hieu lost his sponsor over a year now and really needs help. Any help is highly appreciated, but LOVE recommends a child sponsorship.

(Mark 10:21 NKJV)  Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, "One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me."

(Psa 41:1-3 NKJV)  Blessed is he who considers the poor; The LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.

If you live in Europe, please contact our sister-organization www.G4Kids.de

God bless you for your prayers and financial support for the children!
