Love Of Vietnam Expressed

Helping the poor and needy

(1 John 3:16-18 NKJV) By this, we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

Medical Missions

LOVE is very happy to announce the success of our joint venture with Danang Churches’ medical and social committee in co-sponsoring two medical missions.

We believe that one of the greatest needs in Vietnam is medical care. The expense of foreign medical teams, though much appreciated, is great. Vietnamese medical personal from the committee are anxious to go out and help their people, but without outside help from LOVE or other organizations, they cannot do as many trips in a year. We would like to help sponsor around 6 to 12 such missions which may also include other humanitarian needs like food, blankets, and clothing. Each trip costs from $1000 to $1500. We at LOVE believe 30-50% of this should be raised by the local churches or other Vietnamese organizations. We do not want to supplant the church, but desire to assist in their outreach to help the poor and glorify God.

As you read on, please be praying how LOVE can raise an additional $500 or more a month to continue support of these missions.

(Mark 10:21 NKJV) Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, "One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me."

(Psa 41:1-3 NKJV) Blessed is he who considers the poor; The LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.
