Love Of Vietnam Expressed

Helping the poor and needy

(1 John 3:16-18 NKJV)  By this, we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.  But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?  My little children let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

June Started with a Pull

Thanks to the desire of Doctor Vu Duy Hung (my family dentist), we were able to participate in a dental clinic in a remote area of Thang Binh District of Quang Nam.

Dr. Hung and volunteers from his dental clinic examined and pulled teeth for over 150 men, women and children.

Mr. Diep and 3 volunteers from the Street Children Program of Danang (LOVE’s partner in Vietnam), all trained and supplied with equipment and sealant by Dr. Doug Wing Leung from the USA., treated more than 75 children.

LOVE provided a van for the team, breakfast for all, and distributed 130 toothbrushes and toothpastes.

Sponsors Needed

Right now, there is a needy child living in poverty who is waiting for a caring person like you. We have many children who need sponsors.

To see these children or to fill out an application go to our web site by clicking child. Without your help, many of these will not finish school. For just $25 a month you can see that the child you choose will break the cycle of poverty by getting a good education, better food, clothing, and shelter. For more information about these children or an application form, you can also contact Reggie, who lives in Danang.

Please pray that we can find sponsors for all our children and put your prayers to work by sharing the need with your church, Sunday School Class, civic club, etc.

Share your love and faith

These children urgently need sponsors who will support a child for $25 a month or the whole family for $40 a month, and will pray for them, write and encourage them.

Tran Thi Thuy Trinh (15) with 3 younger sisters, all in school. This family needs a sponsor soon.

About me:

There are 9 people in my family. My grandmother is old and sick. My father cannot work after a serious accident. My brother and I get polio. Only my mother, the laborer in the house, has to work hard to try to feed the other eight people in the family. She not only has to provide us with food and other daily needs but also tries to send us to school. However, she earns her living by selling fruits. Then she just earns about $18 a day. Moreover, everyday she or my siblings have to carry me on the back to school. I find my mother’s life so difficult. I wish someone would help us so that my mother must not be strenuous. Thank you.

Family members:

  • Tran Thi Tam (75) – grandmother

  • La Thi Cam Diem (18) – older sister
  • La Thanh Toan (16 )– older brother
  • La Thi Cam Giang (14) – older sister

Without a family sponsor, Nghia may have to drop out of school after 8th grade.

His brother may have to quit this year.

(Ezekiel 16:49 NKJV)  "Look, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: She and her daughter had pride, fullness of food, and abundance of idleness; neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.

(Psa 41:1-3 NKJV)  Blessed is he who considers the poor; The LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness;

You will sustain him on his sickbed.

If you are interested in sponsoring a child, please check the information by clicking on  children or contact Reggie.
