FROM RECEIVING HELP TO GIVING IT BACK: NGUYEN THI HA

Nguyen Thi Ha grew up in a family facing many financial difficulties. Her father worked in construction until several workplace accidents left him unable to continue the job. With unstable income, medical expenses, and three children still in school, life became very challenging for her family.

Ha received sponsorship support from G4Kids, LOVE’s partner organization in Europe, when she was in Grade 3 and continued receiving support until her final year of university. Along with financial assistance, the care and encouragement from G4Kids, LOVE staff and her sponsor, Janet, gave her confidence to keep pursuing her education.

One moment she never forgot was being accepted into one of the top high schools in Da Nang. When transportation became a challenge, her sponsor helped provide her with a second-hand electric motorbike so she could continue attending school. Inspired by the kindness she had received growing up, Ha later chose to study Social Work and eventually interned at LOVE during university.

Years ago, Ha was one of the children being supported. Today, she has become someone helping support the next generation in return.
