About the area: Lia is the poor, remote and mountainous ward of Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province. The south of the ward shares the border with Laos. The Van Kieu, Pa Co ethnic is about 98% of the population. Their main income is from cassava but it depends of the weather, and the agreement from the local company who buys the products. People here often suffer from diseases related to the digestive system. Children often have problems with skin disease sand fevers. Traveling in this area is not too difficult except that it is too far to reach a nearby medical station or pharmacy, even by motorbike. They are in need of medicines and really need your kind heart. Please help!
