Love Of Vietnam Expressed

by
 Helping the Poor & Needy

1 John 3:16-18 NKJV: By this, we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

December 2018

5

From October to March is when heavy rainfall occurs in Danang city. At this time of the year, the rain will come frequently which makes the city much cooler. The average temperature is around 25.5 degrees Celsius (~78 degrees Fahrenheit) and the coolest months are November to January. Unfortunately, this time of the year is the typhoon season. There will be thunderstorms and typhoons which could cause bad floods in some areas in and surrounding Danang. This is also the time when many unskilled manual-labor parents of those in our sponsorship program lose their unstable jobs because of bad weather or simply because they get sick or their diseases relapse in cold weather. Imagine the only labor in the home earns a very little or even no income, how can the whole family survive for many months? Seeing that actual situation, LOVE/G4kids carry out a rainy season support activity for all families in our program in November and December by giving them a big household basket including rice, instant noodles, cooking oil, washing powder and more. It is considered as not only a rainy season support but also a meaningful gift when Christmas, the season of love, is coming. Hopefully, these gifts can partly bring them lots of happy cozy time together in this rainy and stormy season. Many thanks to our partner, G4kids, for supporting and cooperating with us in making this possible.

REMINDER: In December, we’re going to have a charitable mission trip in a poor mountainous village in Kontum province. We’ll give out nearly 60 basic baskets and 100 little Christmas gifts for families there. Apart from it, LOVE is going to give out 300 Christmas gifts to children in our sponsorship program and children in neighborhood of our office and/or children in a hospital. We would love to obey Our Great Father’s commandment by sharing His love and bring happiness and joy to the poor and needy. But we can not do it alone, we really need your support. Please giving us your helping hands by adding any amount you can to your monthly donation or if you’re a newcomer, just click here to donate to our General fund.

(Luke 14:13-14 NIV)  But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous."

(Prov 31:8-9 NIV)  "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy."

(Psa 41:1-3 NKJV)  Blessed is he who considers the poor; The LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.

God bless you for your prayers and financial support for the children!
