Love Of Vietnam Expressed

(1 John 3:16-18 NKJV): By this, we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

April Humanitarian Mission provided by Haixiong

On April 8, 2016, a Humanitarian Mission was organized for the needy residents at Dien Phong, Dien Ban, Quang Nam. The background is that my grandmother passed away and she left the family some money. Nothing more meaningful than to help those in need. I am very glad to be part of this mission, together with the good folks and volunteers from L.O.V.E. We arrived at Phu Lanh Church after a 40 minutes motorbike ride from L.O.V.E’s office, Da Nang City. We met with the pastor, had a short chat, and started to prepare the items for the residents. By this time, a number of residents had turned up at the church waiting patiently. This mission will provide 60 sets of items including a 10kg rice, a packet of salt, biscuit, a bottle of fish sauce, and a blanket.  Once we were ready, the pastor addressed the residents. The residents then lined up to collect the items. We helped with the distribution and some went the extra mile bringing the items to their motorbikes/bicycles. We received many thanks from the residents. Although I couldn’t understand Vietnamese, I could sense their gratitude in their voices and handshakes. It is comforting to know that these items will provide some relieve to them. Special thanks to Phuong as he did many of the liaising work between all parties. Appreciate the volunteers who gave up their personal time selflessly for this good cause and to all at L.O.V.E for the back-end work. Thank you for the experiences.

Sponsors Needed

Right now, there is a needy child living in poverty who is waiting for a caring person like you. We have many children who need sponsors.

To see these children or to fill out an application go to our web site by clicking child. Without your help, many of these will not finish school. For just $30 a month you can see that the child you choose will break the cycle of poverty by getting a good education, better food, clothing, and shelter. For more information about these children or an application form, you can also contact Reggie, who lives in Danang.

Please pray that we can find sponsors for all our children and put your prayers to work by sharing the need with your church, Sunday School Class, civic club, etc.

 PLEASE HELP

Share your love and faith

These children urgently need sponsors who will support a child for $30 a month or the whole family for $50 a month, and will pray for them, write and encourage them.

Our Children, Our Labor of Love

Well, it is that time again. Every month we meet with each child or family member. We try to visit in the home at least once a year. Then every two years we require every child to redo their application. This application also requires the approval, signature and stamp of approval from their local government as to their need of assistance.

We are in the process of visiting all the homes of our children (nearly 300). Giving (in April) and collecting new applications. In June, we will collect all children’s school report cards. Then we make a list of text books and school uniforms each of our children need for next school year. Meanwhile, continuing to visit each child’s home.

In July, we continue visiting homes and will give text books and uniforms to each child and in family sponsorships, for each sibling in school. That will be over 300 children. All children will start school in August.

In July and August, we usually give applications of new children which we will visit, evaluate their needs, and decide if they are needy and introduce them to our program. If accepted, we will make a profile for each child and put on our web site for you, our supporters, and for future supporters.

This is how you can help: maybe you cannot financially sponsor a child (or another child), but you can pray for each child to find a sponsor. You can also share the need for sponsors. And also pray for the mission of LOVE, its staff and Board of Directors.

(Luke 14:13-14 NIV)  But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous."

(Luke 19:8-9 NIV)  But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, "Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount."  Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham."

(Psa 41:1-3 NKJV)  Blessed is he who considers the poor; The LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.

God bless you for your prayers and financial support for the children!
