Humanitarian Mission sponsored by Mark Smith of Australia My name is Mark Smith; I am from Australia. This is my fifth trip to Vietnam and my fourth visit to LOVE. During this visit I spent a day with Phuong and Nha Ca from LOVE and some other friends. We went to Thu Bon in the Quang Nam province on a humanitarian mission before the TET holidays. We traveled by motorbike from Da Nang to the church in Thu Bon where we met with the pastor. I had donated some money and with other donations he purchased 500 kg, 50 10kg bags of rice and 50 bottles of fish sauce which we gave with an envelope containing some lucky money and a poem of hope for TET. The joy and happiness that this event brought to everyone involved was clearly seen in the many photos taken on this day. After we left the church we traveled to a small community to visit an old lady living on her own in a very basic home. The pastor talked with her and we gave her some money to help the best that we could. For me this was a very humbling experience and made me thankful for what I am blessed with. I wish to thank LOVE and Phuong in particular for arranging this event and making it such a meaningful and memorable occasion. I have supported LOVE for 6 years now and every time I come to visit I feel welcomed and supported in my endeavors to help the poor. I recommend that if you have an opportunity to come to Vietnam that you visit your sponsored child and the office of LOVE.
LOVE’s note: Mark’s sponsored child has very bad teeth and Mark is having her 4 rotten upper front teeth replaced and all her teeth cleaned, cavities filled and sealed. Thank you Mark, like so many of our sponsors, for going the extra mile.

Sponsors Needed Right now, there is a needy child living in poverty who is waiting for a caring person like you. We have many children who need sponsors. To see these children or to fill out an application go to our web site by clicking child. Without your help, many of these will not finish school. For just $30 a month you can see that the child you choose will break the cycle of poverty by getting a good education, better food, clothing, and shelter. For more information about these children or an application form, you can also contact Reggie, who lives in Danang. Please pray that we can find sponsors for all our children and put your prayers to work by sharing the need with your church, Sunday School Class, civic club, etc. PLEASE HELP Share your love and faith These children urgently need sponsors who will support a child for $30 a month or the whole family for $50 a month, and will pray for them, write and encourage them.
