Love Of Vietnam Expressed

Helping the poor and needy

(1 John 3:16-18 NKJV): By this, we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

Director's Space: 2014 was a great year. More of you than ever are engaged with your sponsored children. You have become adopted members of your child/children’s family. Some of you are moms and dads, some are aunts and uncles. You have become an important part of the family. You are involved, encouraging, helping, providing, counseling, sharing, and loving. You are writing and answering letters nearly every month. What a help you are - a shoulder to lean on.

A few are just too busy, I understand. However, I don’t want you to miss out on the blessings God has for you as a caregiver. In 2015, get involved with your sponsored child. All of you are faithful with your giving. In 2015 I want to encourage all of you, not only share your finances, but your love with the children.

Special dates: Do you know your child’s birthday? Tet 2015 is February 18-20 (that is Vietnamese New Year)! School is over toward the end of May and opens middle of August. We give text books in June and uniforms in July. Last is Christmas. Please email if you have questions.

Sponsors Needed

Right now, there is a needy child living in poverty who is waiting for a caring person like you. We have many children who need sponsors.

To see these children or to fill out an application go to our web site by clicking child. Without your help, many of these will not finish school. For just $30 a month you can see that the child you choose will break the cycle of poverty by getting a good education, better food, clothing, and shelter. For more information about these children or an application form, you can also contact Reggie, who lives in Danang.

Please pray that we can find sponsors for all our children and put your prayers to work by sharing the need with your church, Sunday School Class, civic club, etc.

Share your love and faith

These children urgently need sponsors who will support a child for $30 a month or the whole family for $50 a month, and will pray for them, write and encourage them.

About me:  There were 5 members in the family but because of financial difficulties, my father deserted us. My mother works at a noodle shop in the early morning to earn 30,000 vnd and our daily breakfast. In the afternoon she makes and sells sweet potatoes to keep us alive days after days. She has to struggle a lot with the house rent, school fee and basic food. My oldest sister has down symptom and she is learning at Future school which is about 20 minutes from my home, my mother has to bring her to school every day. My mother wants us to keep in school but she really needs a helping hand.

(Luke 14:13-14 NIV)  But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, {14} and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous."

(Luke 19:8-9 NIV)  But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, "Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount." {9} Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham.

(Psa 41:1-3 NKJV)  Blessed is he who considers the poor; The LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.

God bless you for your prayers and financial support for the children!
