Love Of Vietnam Expressed

Helping the poor and needy

(1 John 3:16-18 NKJV): By this, we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

Official Newsletter of  L.O.V.E.

June 2013

That means school grades, school uniforms, and textbooks for every child, including siblings of children with family sponsorships. It means updating information of each child and sending reports to all sponsors on their child’s progress.

We have normal activities of visiting homes, giving monthly stipends and extra gifts for birthdays, rewards for academic progress and excellence, or just to say I love you.

Add to this a medical mission in May (see below), June and July, which makes for us a very busy and fruitful summer. Please, pray for us and our work.

If you have not looked lately, then Click here to meet L.O.V.E.'s Team and Board Members. We have added new staff and updated all profiles of staff.

Goodbye Hạnh Nhân!   Welcome to Phan Vân Quỳnh!

Tran Thi Hanh Nhan started to work for LOVE in May 2010. She oversaw the scholarships, student houses and G4Kids sponsored children programs. Nhan is leaving LOVE and DaNang to follow her husband in the southern part of Vietnam.

Phan Van Quynh (Jessie) is from Ho Chi Minh City and moved to Da Nang to serve God with her husband, a young pastor. Quynh finds it an honor for her to join LOVE and share God’s love to the Vietnamese people. Quynh is now handling student housing duties and assisting in sponsorship project.

Check our website for a profile of all our staff.

Other activities

Nguyet’s father rides 16 km to get milk and stipend for her and her little brother.

A visit to Trinh Viet Nghia’s home

Gifts for Ngo Thi Len of Son Tra

A visit to the home of Dinh Van Them

And Nguyen Thi Lanh’s

Both of the houses above have low tin roofs making them very hot. They also have dirt floors which in the rainy season become muddy. A new house would cost $4000 to $5000.

Thuy Ha and birthday gifts from her sponsor

Tam and her birthday gifts

Start-up gifts for Hau from his sponsor

Ho Thi Be

Her face is still swollen from her operation, Be returned to Danang two weeks after her operation. The German doctor who was to operate suddenly had a family emergency and returned to Germany. So, a team of Vietnamese surgeons performed the operation. Continue to pray for Be that they got all of the tumor and it will not return.

Medical Mission

Love was to assist Danang Churches’ with a medical mission in an area in Quang Nam, but even after signing an agreement with that area that they would not share the Gospel, they were still denied permission. We are saddened that so many people are deprived of free medical care just because of that area’s government’s prejudice against Christians.

Pray for all of Vietnam! Pray for real religious freedom.

Sponsors Needed

Right now, there is a needy child living in poverty who is waiting for a caring person like you. We have many children who need sponsors.

To see these children or to fill out an application go to our web site by clicking child. Without your help, many of these will not finish school. For just $30 a month you can see that the child you choose will break the cycle of poverty by getting a good education, better food, clothing, and shelter. For more information about these children or an application form, you can also contact Reggie, who lives in Danang.

Please pray that we can find sponsors for all our children and put your prayers to work by sharing the need with your church, Sunday School Class, civic club, etc.

Share your love and faith

These children urgently need sponsors who will support a child for $30 a month or the whole family for $50 a month, and will pray for them, write and encourage them.

Please Sponsor me!

She is the main earner in our family but she is old, she has diabetes and regular headache and it often stops her working. My older brother is learning in Da Nang university and he is in the first year. I am a 6th grader of Nguyen Chi Thanh High School. We are a poor family and we are in the list of poor household from the local government.

Family members:

Dec 2012

(Mark 10:21 NKJV)  Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, "One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me."

(Psa 41:1-3 NKJV)  Blessed is he who considers the poor; The LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.

If you are interested in sponsoring a child, please check the information by clicking on  child or contact Reggie.
