Helping the poor and needy

(1 John 3:16-18 NKJV)  By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.  But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?  My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

In Memorial to Doug Oyen who went to be with the Lord last month.

Doug brought medical teams to help us here and in many parts of the world. Below are some pictures that show the heart of the man. We will miss you Doug.

January Blessings

Leisa and Wendy, on vacation from our usual teaching jobs in Australia, came to Tour Vietnam and spend a few days with us in Danang. Leisa is a Christian primary school teacher and Wendy teaches in a private Christian Secondary School.

We at LOVE are so encouraged and blessed when people are able to come and visit our children and us.

Below is a picture tour of their visit.

Visiting the university students at Ruth’s Family

Donating a gas stove to Christian university students at Abraham’s Family.

Some of the children at Tomorrow Club, a place for street children to come and study or just relax.

Every where they went gifts were given to the children, but more than the gifts were arms of love, a smile, and some words of hope and encouragement.

Thank you Lisa and Wendy from us and especially from the children in Danang. We hope to see you again soon. And also thanks to all in your school who donated and sent money to help the children. God bless you all.

God's Promise: (Psa 82:3-4 NKJV)  Defend the poor and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and needy.  Deliver the poor and needy; Free them from the hand of the wicked.

Meditate on these: Did you really medicate on Mt 25:32-40 last month. Your comments are welcome.

Now look at (Psa 40:17 NKJV)  But I am poor and needy; Yet the LORD thinks upon me. You are my help and my deliverer; Do not delay, O my God.

Who wrote these words? How do we as Christians think about our selves. Are we poor and needy or do we think, 'I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing' (Rev 3:17 NKJV)

The children here in Vietnam need your prayers and your help!
