| Designer Bags I hope you remember the drawings the children did during the Camp in May. Some of these were shown in the June newsletter. At the request of sponsors in Germany, these were sent to Germany, where one of the sponsors entered them in a drawing contest. Two of the drawings won and are now on the bags you see to the left. The proceeds from the sell of these bags will go to G4Kids organization in Germany who works together with LOVE to help the poor in Vietnam. |
What We Did in June | Sponsors Needed Right now, there is a needy child living in poverty who is waiting for a caring person like you. We have many children who need sponsors. To see these children or to fill out an application go to our web site by clicking child. Without your help, many of these will not finish school. For just $25 a month you can see that the child you choose will break the cycle of poverty by getting a good education, better food, clothing, and shelter. For more information about these children or an application form, you can also contact Reggie, who lives in Danang. Please pray that we can find sponsors for all our children and put your prayers to work by sharing the need with your church, Sunday School Class, civic club, etc. PLEASE HELP Share your love and faith These children urgently need sponsors who will support a child for $25 a month or the whole family for $40 a month, and will pray for them, write and encourage them. |

Update on Student Houses Of 12 student houses, nine were forced to stop receiving help from LOVE. Of these 9, two that we know of have closed down. One because of not enough students (they said) and one because they did not have the money to keep it open over the summer. Of the 3 remaining houses, two have moved into better houses. All 3 are doing well and have sponsors. We also have added one more house and hope to open at least one more in August or September. About me: There are four members in my family. As my father died when we were young and there is only my mother, who is often sick, is the main earner in our family so our income is very low and we do really meet many challenges in our daily life. My grandmother is nearly 70 year old now and we can’t rely on her help anymore. As a result, I and my brother rarely have a chance to have extra classes like our friends. I wish I am able to learn to be a good lawyer in the future so that I can help my family and poor people. However, at the moment, this ambition is too far for me to reach. I wish to receive support so that our family condition will get a little better and I can achieve my ambition.
