OUR LATEST NEWS
Urgent prayer request

Over Danang city currently, we are in strict new social
distancing measures again, starting from midnight Monday
27th July until further notice after new community
transmission cases of Coronavirus have been confirmed in Da
Nang over recent days. Our country had the first 24 people
to die from Covid until now, and all of them come from
Danang.
The whole city is facing fear from Covid and is now put into
lockdown restrictions. Many sections of the city’s major
downtown streets have been blocked. The streets are empty
and all shops are closed. The people in our city are very
worried. We could not feel other nation's struggles and
extreme difficulties until our city was locked down after
only 3 days and the number of deaths in the city is
increasing. Although the number of deaths from Covid in our
city is limited to hundreds now and far less than other
countries, it is truly a horrible and tragic affair in this
place. For the people here, we have just heard and never
seen anything like this before in our life.
L.O.V.E’s office must also be closed suddenly for some days
and activitie for Book and Uniform Distribution and others
in August will be delayed until we get new directives on the
social distancing from the government. This is an emergency
and a suddeness for us over there.

Currently, the worldwide death toll has passed 776,000. The
number of confirmed cases is more than 21.7 million,
according to the map and dashboard above from Johns
Hopkins University, though the true number of cases will be
much higher.
We need your prayers
Please pray for healing and safety and peace.
Pray that those who have the virus will be healed, and that
its spread would slow and be soon eradicated.
Pray that the government agencies would have wisdom and
skill in containing the epidemic, and that doctors and
nurses would be energized for their work.
Pray for scientists and biomedical engineers scrambling to
invent a way to cure and immunize against this new virus.

Medical Mission
We visited three locations in the mountains of Quang Tri at
the end of June (before the second lockdown in Danang).
During the trip, we delivered 3 medicine cabinets with
basic medicines and 3 months supply. We also sent gifts of
candies and water bottles to over 120 children there.
We believe that this place really needs both material and
spiritual help.

Ha Mi is handing over the medicine to people with pharmacy
expertise and they put it together in the medicine cabinets.
The
price for medical supplies is 100$ per month.

Here are pictures of some people who came to ask for
medicine.
Such a complete medicine cabinet can be used for 1 month for
a village of 100 people

This trip was especially meaningful for
LOVE
when meeting, talking and sending to the children some small
gifts.
May God bless you and keep you in peace, dears!

We Are Looking For A Helping Hand From You
We know about the extreme difficulties worldwide in COVID
time and that we hope and pray, that people are still able
and willing to help the people in Vietnam like before.
Several of
LOVE’s
programs need your help. Our medical missions and
humanitarian missions need money donated to our
general fund. Each medical mission trip need
$350 - $500 each or at least $1000 for the rest of the year.
Our humanitarian mission needs $1500.
Donations of $10, $15 or $50 add up. Please pray for what
God would have you do.

Or YOU CAN HELP THIS CHILD
The boy urgently needs a sponsor who will support him with
$50 a month, and will write and encourage him.
To see these children or to fill out an application, go to
our web site by clicking
child.
Without your help, many of these will not finish school. For
just $30 a month you can see that the child you choose will
break the cycle of poverty by getting a good education,
better food, clothing, and shelter. For more information
about these children or an application form, you can also
contact
Reggie.
Please pray that we can find sponsors for all our children
and put your prayers to work by sharing the need with your
Church, Sunday School Class, civic club, etc.

About me:
My parents divorced some years ago and now my
father has his own family. At present, my mother
alone raises my 2 siblings, my little niece, and
me. My mother works as a cleaner. She cleans
other people’s houses when they ask to earn
money. Her income actually is not stable. In
addition, due to the Covid-19, she cannot get
the same amount like before. Unfortunately, my
sister became a single mom and my mother has to
take care of her and her baby also. I am in
grade 2. My brother is in kindergarten and will
move to primary school after this summer. All
family’s burdens are more and more put on my
mother’s shoulders. Indeed, it is very hard for
my mother to cover the family’s daily life
costs. I do hope to receive your helping hand so
that I can continue on my study road.
