Love Of Vietnam Expressed

by
 Helping the Poor & Needy

(1 John 3:16-18 NKJV): By this, we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

G4Kids’ leaders’ Visit

From July 1 – July 12, we, Mrs. Birgit and Mrs. Anette from G4Kids visited Da Nang. We met all the European sponsored children and talked with them about their school results, their personal development and health condition. July is a very busy month for LOVE’s staff: during the monthly meetings in the districts, all sponsored children receive schoolbooks and uniform materials for the new school year. Additionally Ms. My Dong, Mr. Phuong, Ms. Nha Ca and Ms. Tho Tho translated for us and answered all our questions. We are glad to have Miss Hong as a new accountant.

This year we even brought a special gift which added tremendously to the workload: a German car rental agency (Sixt) donated money for 80 bicycles! So 80 students will have a safer and quicker way to school! Ms. My Dong organized the bicycle event as perfectly as you can see in the photos. It made so many children and their guardians happy!

With our personally sponsored children, we could spend some hours, play and talk with them and have lunch or dinner together.

Thank you dear LOVE’s team for your devoted work for the poor families and children in Vietnam. Thank you for your patience and for presenting us with so many unforgettable memories. We highly appreciate our cooperation and hope that it will continue for many more years.

With love from Mrs. Birgit and Mrs. Anette – G4Kids Germany

Sponsors Needed

Right now, there is a needy child living in poverty who is waiting for a caring person like you. We have many children who need sponsors.

To see these children or to fill out an application go to our web site by clicking child. Without your help, many of these will not finish school. For just $30 a month you can see that the child you choose will break the cycle of poverty by getting a good education, better food, clothing, and shelter. For more information about these children or an application form, you can also contact Reggie, who lives in Danang.

Please pray that we can find sponsors for all our children and put your prayers to work by sharing the need with your church, Sunday School Class, civic club, etc.

 PLEASE HELP

Share your love and faith

These children urgently need sponsors who will support a child for $30 a month or the whole family for $50 a month, and will pray for them, write and encourage them.

This was posted on Facebook by Lê Mai Hoàng Anh (2nd from right)

You, LOVE’s & G4Kids’ sponsors allowed Hoàng Anh and her 3 sisters to reap your gleanings and achieve their dream. The youngest will be the 4th to finish college. She graduates in 2017.

The oldest sister has worker herself up to Chief Executive Officer at BATO ITS CO.,LTD in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Hoàng Anh writes: “Despite lying beside his owner obediently, the black dog was still pulling him onto the train as soon as he heard the ring of its whistle.

I felt so strange and curious at this very tall, handsome, stylish man following his dog's directions.

I didn't think that the man was blind until Paul told me.

This was the first time I saw a well-trained dog that would stay with blind people. He can guide his boss on street, stop when traffic lights turn red, and keep going when it's green. He also risks his life in case there is anybody who wants to endanger his owner.

A simple image in bustling Barcelona where people always say hola to each other made me immediately miss my dad. My dad was blind also.

HE was intelligent, well educated, and charming in communication. Times had changed, HE had to earn on the street selling lottery tickets instead of continuing being a teacher in blind school to raise four little girls.

There were so many times he came home with wounds and blood because of hitting trucks on streets, or simply falling down into drains.

There were so many times he angrily tore the last tickets when counting money and suddenly finding that somebody stole his money and tickets.

There were some people who gave him 1000 vnd for 10 tickets which costs 1000 vnd for each.

There were some people who robbed all his tickets.

There were some people who gave him fake money for tickets... so many stories we can’t remember...

My eyes fade when missing my dad. I wish HE could have this dog to help him on street, that his collection of scars would less,

And to be his friend when we are busy at our own happiness...that we don’t know time to be with HIM doesn’t last long...

This dog at the train station made my heart break.”

About me My father used to be the breadwinner in our family but since he underwent two operations, his health has been quickly downgraded and he cannot do any heavy work again. My mother becomes the breadwinner then, but her major work is just a farmer so things are so tough for my family. There are 4 children at school and the burden of finance is getting heavier for my mother. All 4 of us want to continue to be in school so we really need help.

(Luke 14:13-14 NIV)  But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous."

(Prov 31:8-9 NIV)  "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy."

(Psa 41:1-3 NKJV)  Blessed is he who considers the poor; The LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.
