Love Of Vietnam Expressed

Helping the poor and needy

www.loveofvn.org

(1 John 3:16-18 NKJV): By this, we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

I’m BACK!!!!  (to borrow a line from a movie)

I've returned from a wonderful trip to Pensacola, Florida. I had a wonderful trip and was loved by so many. I visited 3 churches. Of course, most of my time was spent with my brothers and sisters at United Gospel Church and Pastor Tan Nguyen. I also visited Charity Chapel and met with pastor Michael Collins and assistant pastor Jerry Ireland. I was so blessed by both churches. Later I was blessed by the worship service at North Ridge Church.

Members at United Gospel donated over $500 which we plan to use to buy 2 of 5 water purification systems for minority groups in Quang Ngai. A man in Australia has promised to donate for another and we hope some of you can help with the other 2. This is a letter I received: “Dear Reggie Coward and benefactors, I find that the ethnic minority here are using polluted water from the ravine with toxic waste, pesticides and insecticide. Besides, the water from wells is infected alum.

Please pray for Tham. Tham is our bookkeeper and is carrying her first child. She is having some difficulties. Please pray for her to have strength and for the baby to be born strong and healthy.

Sponsors Needed

Right now, there is a needy child living in poverty who is waiting for a caring person like you. We have many children who need sponsors.

To see these children or to fill out an application go to our web site by clicking child. Without your help, many of these will not finish school. For just $30 a month you can see that the child you choose will break the cycle of poverty by getting a good education, better food, clothing, and shelter. For more information about these children or an application form, you can also contact Reggie, who lives in Danang.

Please pray that we can find sponsors for all our children and put your prayers to work by sharing the need with your church, Sunday School Class, civic club, etc.

 PLEASE HELP

Share your love and faith

These children urgently need sponsors who will support a child for $30 a month or the whole family for $50 a month, and will pray for them, write and encourage them.

About me:  I am the youngest child in a poor family. My father died years ago and left my mother with 5 children. All my brother and sisters are still in school. My mother’s job is a manual job and she has no stable job. Sometime she can’t find any job for long time. All the expense and burden in my family just put in my mother. I like to go to school and I hope you will help me. Thank you!

(Luke 14:13-14 NIV)  But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, {14} and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous."

(Luke 19:8-9 NIV)  But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, "Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount." {9} Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham.

(Psa 41:1-3 NKJV)  Blessed is he who considers the poor; The LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.
