Official Newsletter of L.O.V.E. | January 2013 |
All of us at Love Of Vietnam Expressed Pray that God will prosper each of you in 2013 for your hearts of love toward the poor and needy in Vietnam. (Psa 41:1-3 NKJV) Blessed is he who considers the poor; The LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed. |

By My Dong: After about a 3-hour car travel and 20-minute drive by motorbike, we at last reached the 1st destination – the People Committee building of Tra Son commune. When we approached, many citizens were there waiting for us, so we quickly unloaded and got everything ready for distributing to them. Fifty Christmas gifts (each included one box of instant noodles, a blanket, a box of cooking oil, sugar, fish sauce and spice) were given out to the old, the poor, and needy here. |

The next location is a new type of Duong Yen Tin Lanh church named Tan Hiep. 70 more Christmas gifts for families and 60 gifts for children were handed out in joy and happiness of the givers as well as the receivers. We, the LOVE staff, and volunteers had also a nice chance to talk, take photos, and have a little fun with the church kids who mostly are originated from needy families of Kadong minority tribe. Seeing the kids in shabby clothes and their faces filled with mud and/or stains, we can feel for them and pray that they’ll soon truly acknowledge Jesus as the Savior of life; then He’ll guide and lead them in all their ways. And later on when they’re grown-up, their lives will be changed to a better one in His will. |

We, afterwards, could also have an opportunity to visit another worshipping point of Duong Yen church – Tra Tan brand where we can see the contrast between the hospitality of the Christians here and the deprivation of the material facilities. Let’s pray for them so that in the future they’ll be supported and can afford to build a church (in the true sense of the word) to bring all honor and grace to the Lord our God in this remote mountainous area. Before heading home, we were taken to Duong Yen church which is under construction (so happy to see a new church is being built) and River Tranh hydroelectric dam which is, at present, in public attention due to the recent earthquakes in north Tra My. |

(Mark 10:21 NKJV) Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, "One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me." |
