Love Of Vietnam Expressed

By

Helping the poor and needy

www.loveofvn.org

(1 John 3:16-18 NKJV) By this, we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

Summer is over!

Because of you, our supporters, we have provided school books and uniforms to 286 children, provide a camp for 21 scholarship children, help 24 college students go to summer camps, helped many others attend summer school and / or tutoring.

With hearts of love, you keep on giving:

Some come by mail.

Some brought by visitors.

Most send money and we take them shopping.

Students houses

Rebecca’s and Andrew’s student houses, both of which we were unable to find sponsors for, have been closed. At present we have 7 houses - 6 are sponsored.

Please consider sponsoring a student house for $80 a month. We would like to reopen these houses or another house, but need sponsors.

The girls in Naomi’s Student House, also unsponsored, are hoping to move and the cost is expected to increase. These girls all have individual sponsors that help with expenses, but a house sponsor would mean they would not have to divert personal and educational funds to pay rent.

Andrew’s student house is made up of minority tribal students from mountainous regions. They have moved in with other students until we can find another house and a sponsor.

The girls in Rebecca’s student house have moved in with girls in other houses until they can find a sponsor and another house to live.

Naomi’s student house has girls from extremely poor families. These girls really need a sponsor for their house too.

Sponsors Needed

Right now, there is a needy child living in poverty who is waiting for a caring person like you. We have many children who need sponsors.

To see these children or to fill out an application go to our web site by clicking child. Without your help, many of these will not finish school. For just $30 a month you can see that the child you choose will break the cycle of poverty by getting a good education, better food, clothing, and shelter. For more information about these children or an application form, you can also contact Reggie, who lives in Danang.

Please pray that we can find sponsors for all our children and put your prayers to work by sharing the need with your church, Sunday School Class, civic club, etc.

PLEASE HELP

Share your love and faith

These children urgently need sponsors who will support a child for $30 a month or the whole family for $50 a month, and will pray for them, write and encourage them.

About me: I am the youngest one in a family of 4 members. I lost my mother when I was a young boy. We are being raised by our father. He is working as a hired fisherman and his income is not stable because of the weather changes and the fishermen in my village have decided to quit their fishermen work and find another job. Three of us are at school and need a lot of money for our school. My oldest sister has a part time job but it is only enough for her extra classes. We always live in difficulties and destitution.

Family members:

  • Le Van Te (1970)- Father-Fisher

  • Le Thi Thu Suong(1994)-Sister- student

  • Le Van Cong Tuan (1997)-Brother-10th grade

LOVE’s note: A family sponsorship is highly recommended

(Mark 10:21 NKJV) Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, "One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me."

(Psa 41:1-3 NKJV) Blessed is he who considers the poor; The LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.

If you are interested in sponsoring a child, please check the information by clicking on child or contact Reggie.

If you live in Europe, please contact our sister-organization www.G4Kids.de

God bless you for your prayers and financial support for the children!
