Love Of Vietnam Expressed

Helping the poor and needy

www.loveofvietnamexpressed.org

(1 John 3:16-18 NKJV) By this, we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

News

Tet is over and the year of the Water Dragon has started. To all of you who have supported our mission to Vietnamese children by your prayers, sharing with others our work, and your financial support, we are very grateful.

All 2011 donations receipts have been emailed. If you donated to LOVE by PayPal, check, or transfer of funds, you should have received your receipt. If not, contact Reggie.

With Tet coming so early, January was a short month for us. Our bookkeepers were more busy than usual as they had to prepare monthly and annual donation receipts; then they had to finish year end summary so that I could prepare for our state corporation reports and complete IRS forms.

The rest of the staff members were busy giving out monthly stipends to nearly 300 children plus all the Tet and other extra gifts.

Below are only a few of the many gifts given. Many gifts were mailed to us for the children while others sent money to buy gifts.

Sponsors Needed

Right now, there is a needy child living in poverty who is waiting for a caring person like you. We have many children who need sponsors.

To see these children or to fill out an application go to our web site by clicking child. Without your help, many of these will not finish school. For just $30 a month you can see that the child you choose will break the cycle of poverty by getting a good education, better food, clothing, and shelter. For more information about these children or an application form, you can also contact Reggie, who lives in Danang.

Please pray that we can find sponsors for all our children and put your prayers to work by sharing the need with your church, Sunday School Class, civic club, etc.

PLEASE HELP

Share your love and faith

These children urgently need sponsors who will support a child for $30 a month or the whole family for $50 a month, and will pray for them, write and encourage them.

About me: I was born in a big family. My father is a xichlo driver with an unstable income. My mother works as an embroiderer at a shop. I am a 2nd year student at Danang Architecture University. My 3 siblings are in school: the younger sister is in grade 10; the younger brother is in 9 and the youngest sister is in grade 6. My parents work hard to earn money but their little money can’t cover our study expenses. Moreover, my family has so far had to borrow $5740 from the bank. I hope to receive some help to have better education.

(Mark 10:21 NKJV) Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, "One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me."

(Psa 41:1-3 NKJV) Blessed is he who considers the poor; The LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.
