But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

LOVE Announcement

We are happy to announce that Doan Thi Hong Van, the newest member of our staff, has been granted a scholarship to study in Singapore. She will be leaving us very soon. Please keep her in your prayers, especially pray about her plane fare to HCMC and money for her out of pocket expenses. Her scholarship includes plane fare from HCMC to Singapore.

Miss Hong Van says:

Thank God so much for His program is always wonderful in my life. It is so great that I have chance to work for L.O.V.E. during last time. This is a really good environment to show God’s love through our helps to disadvantaged children.

I had been desiring for a Bible course, and God has given me His answer. I have the opportunity to attend a Bible course in Singapore. The course will last six months. Now, I am waiting for my passport. I am going to leave at this weekend or next week as soon as I get the passport.

I am happy to have such a good opportunity to study God’s word, but I feel so sad to stop working at L.O.V.E. and say good bye to everyone. I pray God to bless L.O.V.E more and more. And I would like that you will remember me in your prayers.

Right now, there is a needy child living in poverty who is waiting for a caring person like you. We have many children who need sponsors.

To see these children or to fill out an application go to our web site by clicking child. Without your help, many of these will not finish school. For just $25 a month you can see that the child you choose will break the cycle of poverty by getting a good education, better food, clothing, and shelter. Please pray that we can find sponsors for all our children and put your prayers to work by sharing the need with your church, Sunday School Class, civic club, etc.

These children urgently need sponsors who will support a child for $25 a month or the whole family for $40 a month, and will pray for them, write and encourage them.

In addition, some of you sent extra donations asking us to help other less fortunate children. And one donor requested we reach out to some elderly. My wife, Chi, went out to some local businesses and we were able to provide enough funds to give additional gifts to 60 more children and 60 elderly.

Children are from Nhu Hanh Son District of Danang. The photo on the right shows representatives from Light House Construction Company who provided funds and took time to come give out gifts to the children.

Hannah blessed us and many others as her school featured her with her teacher and class mates in several performances during Tet celebrations.

Work has started on the second level of our house. We praise God who sent a good Samaritan to enable us to replace our leaky and flooding house with a new one. This will enable us room for our 10-member family, have room for a conference office, and provide a room for guest.

About me: My parents are farmers; although they work very hard, our income is just enough for daily need.
