But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

Dear Friends,

Our pastor once preached about the meaning of prosperity and we have learned that prosperity means having more than enough to share with others who are in need. And 2009 was a very successful year for us thanks to God’s faithfulness and good will and your generosity and your prosperity. So from the bottom of our hearts we want to say “Thank you very much” and “God bless you all” for your support to the poor children and to all of us at LOVE.

(Mat 25:40 NKJV) "And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.'

Sponsors Needed

Right now, there is a needy child living in poverty who is waiting for a caring person like you. We have many children who need sponsors.

To see these children or to fill out an application go to our web site by clicking child. Without your help, many of these will not finish school. For just $25 a month you can see that the child you choose will break the cycle of poverty by getting a good education, better food, clothing, and shelter. For more information about these children or an application form, you can also contact Reggie, who lives in Danang.

Please pray that we can find sponsors for all our children and put your prayers to work by sharing the need with your church, Sunday School Class, civic club, etc.

Above are some pictures taken while we gave the presents out.

During the very last days of 2009 and the first 2 days of 2010, LOVE was honored to have Dr. Leung and friends visiting and going out to the field to do dental aid with us. This trip, Dr Leung has trained about 20 volunteers to apply sealant on permanent molars to prevent cavities. During the 4 days we worked, about 400 children were seen. Below are some pictures.

About me: We are a very difficult family. My father died, so my mother is the main earner in my house. She didn’t get a good education. She has to take care of 4 of us. She usually goes out to collect bottels. She can earn around USD 2-3 per day, sometimes she can earn nothing. The school fee is higher and higher, but thanks to LOVE’s support I can go to school. My two younger brothers are living in the Orphanage under the support of state. We had a land donation from our grandmother, and we could build a house with support of LOVE and another sponsor. Family members: Nguyen Thi Huong Mother Nguyen Van Tuan Oldest brother Nguyen Van Nhat Younger brother (August 10, 1996) Nguyen Van Ut Youngest brother (March 3, 1999) LOVE’s note: Vy Anh just lost her sponsor from a church that closed. They are a poor family needing our support. Vy Anh herself has had skin disease; her oldest brother has mental problems.

(Ezekiel 16:49 NKJV) "Look, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: She and her daughter had pride, fullness of food, and abundance of idleness; neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.

(Psa 41:1-3 NKJV) Blessed is he who considers the poor; The LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.
