And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.  But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?  My little children let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

I wonder how many are thinking about a happy new year or are you listening to the world’s bleak reports.  But even the world is blaming greed as the cause of all our problems. And surely God’s intentions is to turn all this for good. A wake up call maybe. Can we agree with Paul? (Phil 4:11-13 NKJV)  Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.  I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

(1 Tim 6:6-8 NKJV)  Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.

It is going to be a year of great Spiritual growth for us all who earnestly seek the LORD.

Matching Funds

In November and December a total of $823 USD and €1,480 EURO were donated to LOVE’s non-sponsored programs. Making a total of $2,893 USD to be matched.

Our mystery donor said if much higher he would have to make monthly payments to match the funds.

Sponsors Needed

Right now, there is a needy child living in poverty who is waiting for a caring person like you. We have many children who need sponsors.

To see these children or to fill out an application go to our web site by clicking child. Without your help, many of these will not finish school. For just $25 a month you can see that the child you choose will break the cycle of poverty by getting a good education, better food, clothing, and shelter. For more information about these children or an application form, you can also contact Reggie, who lives in Danang.   

Please pray that we can find sponsors for all our children and put your prayers to work by sharing the need with your church, Sunday School Class, civic club, etc.

About me: There are 5 in my family. After coming back from Cambodia’s war, my father had malaria. Then he had acute sinusitis and a cataract (operation is around $150). We tried to find money to treat him. At present, he needs to be treated, which makes our financial problems more critical. My mother is a builder’s assistant, earning a little money while three of us all are in school. My family cannot afford to keep us studying and treat my father. My other two sisters are at 10^th and 2^nd grades. We need your help.
