| Love Of Vietnam Expressed By Helping the poor and needy
Web page: www.loveofvietnamexpressed.org | (1 John 3:16-18 NKJV) By this, we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

Help! | ||||||||||||||
There are many needs at this time. Inflation is reducing our ability to help the poor, who themselves are getting poorer by the week. The weak dollar means we get less from every donation and prices of gas and food are making it very difficult. Example: In February rice was 6,000 vnd/kg and this month it jumped to 7,500 vnd/kg. That is an increase of 25%, or about $5 a month. A family of 6 may normally eat 40-50 kg a month. If a family earns $50 a month (many less), then they have less to spend on meat or other things. As to money rates, $500 equaled 8,000,000 vnd in January and now $500 equals 7,800,000 vnd. That means on our monthly budget we need $416 more now than 2 months ago to do the same work. Another way to say it is that before we needed $3,000, but now it takes $3,416. Our sponsorship program is increasing every month and most sponsors are very generous and send extra to help their child. However, our general contributions have fallen a lot. These are moneys that people donate for us to use any way needed. This money provides scholarships, rice, medical and emergency help to others very poor and or elderly or handicapped. We are so grateful to those of you who pray regularly for our work and for the needy children and for all of you, including sponsors, who send regularly to meet the needs below. |
Tai, one of 7 sponsored children receiving gifts from a kind-hearted sponsor in Germany. Sponsors Needed
Right now, there is a needy child like the children above from Thanh Quyt Church living in poverty who is waiting for a caring person like you. We have many children who need sponsors. To see these children or to fill out an application go to our web site by clicking child. Without your help, many of these will not finish school. For just $20 a month you can see that the child you choose will break the cycle of poverty by getting a good education, better food, clothing, and shelter. For more information about these children or an application form, you can also contact Reggie, who lives in Danang. Please pray that we can find sponsors for all our children and put your prayers to work by sharing the need with your church, Sunday School Class, civic club, etc. PLEASE HELP Share your love and faith These children urgently need sponsors who will support a child for $20 a month or the whole family for $35 a month, and will pray for them, write and encourage them.

I am very sorry that we will have to cut at least 54 of our scholarship children if income does not increase soon. That is almost $350 a month.
We have already decreased 20 of our rice families from 20 kg to 15 kg. Please pray seriously about these needs We need an immediate increase of general donations of $1,000 a month to allow us to keep helping these children or 100 new sponsors.

About me: There are 5 in my family. After coming back from Cambodia’s war, my father got malaria. Then he had acute sinusitis. We tried to find money to treat him. At present, he gets cataract and needs to be treated, which makes our financial problems more critical. My mother is a builder’s assistant, earning a little money while three of us all are in school. My family cannot afford us to keep studying and treat my father’s eyes. My two younger ones are at 6th and 2nd grade. We need your help.

(Psa 41:1-3 NKJV) Blessed is he who considers the poor; The LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.
