Making for a better life Below are pictures of 2 families’ homes built by the children’s sponsor. |

Right now, there is a needy child living in poverty who is waiting for a caring person like you.
Please pray that we can find sponsors for all our children and put your prayers to work by sharing the need with your church, Sunday School Class, civic club, etc. We have many children who need sponsors. For just $20 a month you can see that the child you choose will break the cycle of poverty by getting a good education, better food, clothing, and shelter. Below is My Hanh with LOVE’s representative My Dong. My Hanh stays with her grandmother. Several of her siblings quit school because there wasn’t enough money for school fees. 
| Vy Anh, her mother and 2 brothers, live in this 2-room home and share a toilet and shower outside the house with others. Water had to be carried from another house. They cook on a one-burner oil stove. They have only one small & weak light in the house with no place to study. They eat, sleep and study on the cement floor. When Vy Anh’s sponsor saw the condition of the house, she sent money to renovate the house. Now they have 2 bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen. They also will have a 2 burner gas stove, rice cooker, 2 beds and study desk with lights and wall switches in each room. |
Her sponsor has sent money to rebuild their house with brick this time and the family will soon move in and be together again. We will have pictures next month. | Their house is down a narrow ally and shares walls with 3 other houses. It is impossible to take a good picture. Below are pictures during renovation. |

Le Thi Ha is 29 months old. Her family is very poor. She has an older sister, 15, who is deaf and mute and a brother 8 years old in school. Her mother is sickly and cannot work much. Due to paying so much money for treating her disease, the family meets many difficulties. Parents both are farmers. They owed $320 for building a house but the house is not finished yet. | 
Thai Van Dinh Menh is 25 months old. His mother had liver cancer when she was pregnant. Due to treatment for his mother’s disease, Menh was affected by the medicine. When he was 1 and a half months old, his mother died. Only his father has to bring up 6 children. Two had to stop studying to help the father They owe 7 millions dong ($435) from the medical bills and funeral. That is almost a year’s income. |
