2nd Challenge... ...Because of the importance of June, July and August to all of us at LOVE and our children. We have a challenger who will personally match every dollar donated to LOVE in June and July, up to $10,000.
Please help us during this critical period. Can we make him pay the full $10,000? $20,000 would really enable us to complete all we had hoped to do this year. The children need school uniforms, school insurance, and textbooks. The average cost per child is around $15 per child. That is an addition of nearly $4,000 we need over the next 3 months. Add to this the scholarships and other needs; the total just for the next 3 months is about $6,000.
In addition, this is the time we review new applications for the 2007-2008 school year. We expect over 100 new applications. Most of these will be truly needy. LOVE would like to be able to help as many of these children as we can. The cost per child is $100 a year. That is $5,000 needed to help 50 new children. | |||||
University Students There are 29 students in our 4 student houses and we hope to add another house soon. Last year we provided scholarships to 15 of these to go to a Campus Crusade for Christ training camp in Vietnam. |

Right now, there is a needy child living in poverty who is waiting for a caring person like you. Please pray that we can find sponsors for all our children, and put your prayers to work by sharing the need with your church, Sunday School Class, civic club, etc.
We have many children who need sponsors. To see our children or to fill out an application go to our web site by clicking child. Without your help many of these will not finish school. For just $20 a month you can see that the child you choose will break the cycle of poverty by getting a good education, better food, clothing, and shelter.
My name is Che Thi Thu Thuy. I am in the 10th grade and I attend worship at Danang Church. My father died when I was young. My mother is in bad health. She is often sick. She has an osteomalacia. However, she has to get up early to sell rice cake and soy-milk to earn money for my family’s living [less than $40 a month] and for our schooling. I have two twin brothers who are in the 7th grade. Now my mother is 3 million [vnd] in debt to the local Government. I wish you would help so that my mother reduces of suffering and I have a better condition for studying.

Trần Thị Xuân Lộc will graduate next year and is majoring in statistical information, then she hopes to study one more in HCMC. She may train with CCC. | Nguyen Thi Hien Chau is a Senior majoring in English. She will graduate soon. And hopes to serve God. Her brother is a pastor. Chau wants to serve God fulltime | ||||
We are so grateful to all of you who responded to our call to help the girls above to go to Korea. In 2 weeks we raised enough to send them to Korea. An additional $250 was also donated for other works and will be used to help 15 – 20 other students to attend Christian camps in Vietnam. | |||||
Happy Birthday It is so hard to believe that my daughter is 3 years old. For you who are new to LOVE, Hannah (God’s favor or Grace) Hong An (also God’s favor or Grace in Vietnamese) is God’s special gift to my wife and I. She is always a reminder to us of God’s love, blessings and grace to us, His imperfect children and servants. Below are some photos. | |||||
