(1 John 3:16-18 NKJV) By this we know love, because He laid
down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the
brethren. But whoever has
this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up
his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in
him? My little
children, let us not love in word or in
tongue, but in deed and in truth. |

The Challenge has Begun!
2004 is over and LOVE did far more than ever
before.
Christmas, New Year, and Tet
(the Chinese Lunar New Year) are passed and we were able to
provide special gifts to over 800 children and
families.
My visit to the U.S. is
over. I visited friends and family in the Tampa Bay area
of Florida.
I visited United Gospel
Church, my home and supporting church, and many friends in
Pensacola, Fl.
Finally I visited my daughter
in Grifton, N.C. I am happy to say that her husband is
recovering well after surgery to remove a cancerous
kidney. He is a firefighter and police officer in
Kinston, NC.
I had hoped to visit so many
more, but after attending to some business there was not
enough time. I hope next trip I can bring my family and have
more time. There were so many more friends I wanted to visit.
Thanks to all of you for your
prayers.

Matching
Funds
Our Challenger has matched our
total of $3,410. Thanks to all of you who responded to this
challenge. LOVE's total for November and December
with matching funds is $6820. Our need to meet our commitment
for 2005 is nearly $3000 each month.
Please
pray for this need to be met.

**These
expenses are higher this year because we replaced our aging
computer and printer. The old computer went to Ruth's house to
be used by poor university students. |
