Hong (Rose)

Hong is from Quang Ngai. As a child she was crippled in both legs by polio. With LOVE's help she is studying tailoring and after seeing some of her samples, LOVE has contracted her to make 100 of our children's school uniforms.

When I first met Hong, she stayed at home all day and had no purpose of life. Now she knows Jesus, Is continuing her training, and is working and providing income to help her family.

This was Hong in 2002 when I first met her. Her home for her, 2 brothers, mother and father is a 2 room hut with clay floors. For a toilet they all must go out to the field next to the house. There was no bathroom or outhouse. LOVE is also helping her older brother to complete Veterinarian School .

You can see the radiance on Hong's face now (see above), compared to 2002 at the right.

They were able to sell half of their property and use the money to build  a new, very modest home with cement floors and a bathroom. Neither mother and father have steady work, but Hong's brother will graduate soon and she will also finish her training and work full time. The younger brother is still in school. In 1-2 years Hong and her older brother will be able to care for their family.

June

June is the month for measuring all of our children, having school uniforms made, ordering school books, notebooks, pens, pencils, and book bags when we have the funds for all of this. It is doubtful if we can give book bags and all of the above because of lack of funds. We do what we can.

Birth Defects

This is Tai. Pray for him. He was born with the right leg attached to the left leg and his fingers and toes are also deformed. His father deserted him and his mother. They live in a one room rented apartment.

Trieu has blood cancer.

Duyen had an ear operation. Doctors cut

a 2" incision behind her ear.

Thien also has blood cancer. You were asked to pray for her some months ago. Your prayers are helping. Above is Thien when we first met her at the hospital. She missed much of her 2003-2004 school year. This year she missed little school and had very good grades. She will enter 10^th grade next year.

During the first few months of chemo-therapy, Thien lost all her hair. She was very sad, but she was given a wig to encourage her. Above is Thien in her wig.

Thien last month. Her hair is growing back. She still goes to Chemo, but she is stronger, happy and full of hope. Pray for her salvation.

God's Promise: (Isa 1:17 -18 NKJV)  Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor; Defend the fatherless, Plead for the widow. "Come now, and let us reason together," Says the LORD, "Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.

Meditate on this: (Job 30:25 NKJV)  Have I not wept for him who was in trouble? Has not my soul grieved for the poor?
