JUNE 2003(1 John 3:16-18,NKJV): By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. This is the scripture that compels us. |
Greetings to all our friends!
This month I want you to meet Na. Last month Na came to the office and brought us a letter. She is 13 years old and in the eighth grade. Na is an excellent student and has a 9.0 grade point average out of 10.0. This is a marked improvement from her grades before LOVE began to help. She hopes to go to the university some day. Below is a picture of Na and a copy of her letter.

Danang, September 10th 2003 Thank you words Life is now so beautiful because of people that have loving hearts like you, my new aunts and uncles. During the last school year, thanks to the help of the benefactors of Love Of Vietnam Expressed, I overcame the difficulties of my life and studied well. Today I write these short lines with my deep and true gratefulness. Aunts and uncles, it's really happy and lucky for me and some others to be helped so that we have better condition to study well. I live with my eighty year old paternal grandfather. He is old. I have to work extra to have money to go to school. Last year, thanks to the monthly scholarship so my life was better. I have more time to study than before therefore my study is more progressive. Your assistance is a great encouragement helping me recognize that I have to study and overcome all the difficulties in the life. You are ready to invest much time and labor our study. I am deeply impress by your concern and love. I promise that I will study better to deserve your concern. Once more time, I want to express my most gratefulness to you. I wish you are healthy and happy and you are forever alluvium (fertile soil) to consolidate (unite) the rivers of my childhood. I wish there are more and more people to contribute to Love Of Vietnam Expressed. Yours truly, Nguyen Thi Na |
| Please pray for Na and many more like her. Pray that our contributions will improve so we will not have to drop any of our children and we can add some of the more than 50 new applications for help next year. We need your prayers and support greatly. Our greatest needs are for regular monthly support. $10 a month will help one child go to school or to vocational training. $20 a month will provide for one university student. $5 a month will provide rice for a family of 4. |
