DECEMBER 2002(1 John 3:16-18,NKJV): By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. This is the scripture that compels us. |
Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ,
It is December and the end of 2002 is close at hand. Because of your prayers and gifts, we have helped many children and poor families. The lady below is Thuyet. She and her son will have a new house for Christmas, thanks to each of you. She now lives in a shelter made of tin and wood between two other houses. On the left is Duc, LOVE's representative, with Thuyet. On the right is Duc and Hao, representative for the Street Children's Program, our partner in Vietnam. They are looking over the shelter where Thuyet and her son live.

| | Pray for Hong, in the blue dress, she is blind. Her husband left her and their son soon after she went blind. Here, Hao of the Street Children's Office gives her scholarship money, provided by LOVE, for her son to attend school. We will also provide 15 kg of rice each month. We have promised to pray for her and her son. Hong told us she now has hope and feels as if she has been born again. Pray for her to truly be born again. She also suffers from headaches and other problems. Pray for God to completely heal her body. Her son, to her left, is a good student and his mother's only comfort. | |

Pictured here is LOVE's representative, Bao Chi, with Yen and Oanh. We presented a bike to Yen and Oanh so they can go to school, about 6 km from their home. They are very poor. They have a father who is a new Christian and two older brothers. The mother left just after Oanh's birth. They have been out of school too long, so LOVE arranged for them to attend night school, and for the 14 year-old brother to receive vocational training. We will also provide 20 kg of rice each month for the family. Please pray. Their father has a drinking problem he is trying to overcome since accepting Christ. He is unemployed also. | Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all. A special thanks from the children here in Vietnam.

All of us here offer you all the warmest of thanks for your prayers and financial support.
God Bless all of you and a blessed Christmas from all of us at L.O.V.E. Reggie, Chi, and Duc in Vietnam Hong (Julia) and Tina in U. S. and all our board members.
